Biography

Thomas Seifert finished a bachelor degree and received qualification of MBA in Friedrich Alexander University of Erlangen Nuremberg and also the master's degree on economy in Wayne State University.

Seifert has experience at positions of the chief financial officer and chief executive of Qimonda AG company. It also worked as the vice president of Infineon Technologies AG group and the CEO of its division of Memory Products Group and also the president and the chief executive of Wireline Communications Business Group company.

2014: CFO в Symantec

On March 07, 2014 the Symantec corporation announced that on March 17, 2014 Thomas Seifert will enter a position of the chief financial officer (Chief Financial Officer) of Symantec. He is subordinated to the president and the CEO of Symantec, Steve Bennet.

"Extensive experience of Thomas in the field of finance and management of global transactions in the industry of advanced technologies and technologies of wireless communication makes him the ideal head capable to increase efficiency of the company. His understanding of business processes will play an important role strategy implementations of Symantec 4.0", – Steve Bennet noted.

Thomas Seifert passes into Symantec from Brightstar company where he held a position of the executive vice president and, at the same time, chief financial officer, managed financial transactions of the company, accounting, treasury and information technologies. Before Seifert worked in Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) company where held positions of the chief financial officer, chief accountant, and a considerable part of 2011 temporarily fulfilled duties of the president of the company.
