On March 12, 2014 the Microsoft company announced creation in PVH company of the data warehouse on Microsoft SQL Server 2012 platform.
Project Tasks
The company needed deeper understanding of transactions that employees could make daily and timely decisions, crucial for business. In the company huge amounts of data are saved up, but on extraction of valuable data too much time and productivity of work of IT department steadily left decreased.
Project Progress
Project implementation of implementation of DWH on the basis of Microsoft SQL Server 2012 began in April, 2012 at North American office: to the data warehouse transferred 3.5 Tbyte of information from 16 different systems: sales, transactions and warehouse stocks.
The PVH company deployed the similar solution in branches, in the Pacific Rim. The regional version provided to 200 employees working in Hong Kong, South Korea and China, access to the same detailed information what their American colleagues use.
At all complexity of information which is contained in storage, productivity of daily work with it is extremely high.
