On March 11, 2014 the company "FIORD" announced implementation SCADA- a packet PcVue on production manufacturing company of sparkling extra quality Veuve Clicquot ("Widow Clicquot") for fermentation process control.
Project Tasks
The technical Veuve Clicquot command realized - solution SCADA of PcVue can be used in different aspects of production, than not only fermentation of wine in tanks, but the cooling system is controlled during cold stabilization after final mixing. PcVue is used also for monitoring of waste and clearing subsystems.
At the end of 2012 in Veuve Clicquot decided to upgrade a control system in fermentation cellars. Control of reservoirs in which there is an alcoholic and apple and dairy fermentation is crucial for quality of products. However the software used by Veuve Clicquot is obsolete, and the developer does not support him any more.
There was a need of urgent replacement of software by the modern solution.
The company the reliable solution which will be supported for many years was required. In addition to accounting of different technical factors, the producer selected PcVue 10 as the cost of licenses economically is suitable for Veuve Clicquot. Advantage of PcVue - a packet has the same [1], as previous software. It means that operators could use PcVue immediately. In addition, one of strengths of PcVue - ease of setup and a configuration of the program. The previous system required participation of specialists of the high level for its updating.
Project Results
Operators use 42" the touch screen installed at an input in fermentative cellars. Besides, five web clients help managers to manage a system, to select the settings. The software keeps in contact with programmable logic controllers (a PLC - PLC) under the Modbus TCP/IP protocol while communication (a virtual private network) is used by VPN for collection of information from reservoirs in other remote places.
Fourteen cellars of fermentation are placed in the main cellar in Reims, and four others are located in the different cities at distances from 30 to 200 km from the main cellar. VPN saves huge amount of time.
