Chelyabinsk airport of I.V. Kurchatov

The international airport of I.V. Kurchatov - one of the most intensively developing objects of transport infrastructure of federal importance, the largest transit node in South Ural on the routes connecting Europe and Asia. In November, 2019 the new passenger terminal which was built since summer of 2018 was started.

2020: Over 10 billion rubles are invested in reconstruction of the airport of Chelyabinsk

Over 10 billion rubles are invested in reconstruction of the airport of Chelyabinsk, TASS reports in the summer of 2020.

From this amount of 5.3 billion rubles made means of the federal budget, other expenses were financed due to private investments.

In particular, allocations were directed to reconstruction of platforms, taxi tracks, a runway, installation of the radio engineering and light-signal equipment, construction of the patrol road, barriers with technical means of protection and treatment facilities. Delivery of the listed objects is planned for August, 2020.

The air harbor became the seventh in Russia where all-weather flights are provided. In terms of improvement of ecology in the airport two anti-icing platforms on which aircrafts will be processed are built. Under platforms special tanks where deicing fluid will gather are built and then to be utilized. At the airport 30 places of parking for airplanes of any type, widebody, long-haul, heavy, passenger and cargo appeared.
