MUBINT optimizes IT infrastructure

Project Progress

Started the SAM project of basic level. Determined by the project the optimal program of licensing taking into account trends, confirmed legitimacy of use of the software and minimized possible technical, legal and economic risks.

For collecting of initial data Microsoft Assessment and Planning Toolkit by means of which quickly enough obtained the objective information about the operating infrastructure was used.

Project Results

"On project deliverables it was offered to involve as much as possible available licenses and to buy licenses for updating under the agreement of Academic and School Agreement (CASA). Besides, the optimal scheme of licensing by a server part was developed. This scheme meets the modern requirements for virtualization and also satisfies strategic objectives of the client on creation of a private cloud and implementation of means on management of IT infrastructure", - Alyona Shpigareva, the head of the analytical department and the leading SAM analyst told ALAN IT.

"The project allowed to reach absolute license purity of the used software, to reduce thereby to zero legal and business risks. Besides, developed the optimal expense plan on software for the next 5 years and an accurate regulation of lifecycle of software will allow us to hold it a status in the future with the clear cost level. The scheme of licensing which is picked up by employees ALAN IT allowed to save on purchase of licenses about 470 thousand rubles at once, and the cumulative benefit in five-year perspective will leave more than 1.5 million rubles", - Anton Gerasimov emphasized.
