Xeon E7 v2 is a processor family of Intel for crucial tasks.
On March 27, 2014 the Intel company provided a new processor family of Intel Xeon E7 v2.
Description
The processor family of Intel Xeon E7 v2 supports is triple bigger amount of memory in comparison with the previous generation of a processor family that provides faster and careful data analysis. Data are located in a system memory, but not on traditional hard drives. Such approach receives the increasing popularity at the expense of the increased need for more difficult solutions for analytics.
The new processor family is intended for the servers supporting up to 32 processor connectors in configurations with 15 cores (max.) and up to 1.5 TB memories on one processor socket. New products provide, on average, [1] to two [1] higher performance in comparison with the previous generation. These improvements help the companies using crucial applications, including support systems of business, a customer relationship management system and schedule system of resources of the enterprise to work more effectively with lower costs and faster response time.
Specific Features
For overcoming "bottlenecks" in structures of data transmission the processor family of Intel Xeon E7 v2 supports Intel Integrated I/O and Intel Data Direct I/O technologies and the PCIe 3.0 interface that allows to increase almost four times capacity of input-output in comparison with the previous generation of products and to provide additional resources for data storage and network connections.
