On March 28, 2014 announced Dell release of Active Fabric Controller: specialized software which allows to select and manage virtual network resources automatically.

The solution Dell Active Fabric Controller represents the specialized SDN platform, developed for the purpose of simple implementation and simple setup of network functions in clouds and ^[1].

The solution is focused on the enterprises implementing projects of OpenStack and serves as an additional component of cloud solutions of Dell on the basis of standards of OpenStack. The new version of the solution provides the uniform integrated tool for selection of virtual network services and also completely automated management of physical infrastructure for all lifecycle.

• Simple functioning and "smart" approach. The network solution does not require additional setup and is ready to work at once; allows administrators to operate clouds and applications easily. The solution works OpenStack with applications and provides flexibility concerning workloads and the politician. Allows to build in such service devices as the firewall, the balancer of loading and the optimizer of a global network.
• The configured politicians. Allows to create the solution on demand the virtual network factories answering to certain workloads regardless of time of their start, a stop or modification; provides higher level of security, performance and efficiency for each application;
