JTI will provide 20 thousand employees with the system of corporate communications

On April 1, 2014 the Japan Tobacco International (JTI) company selected Orange Business Services for migration of the operating communication framework on the managed solution for unified communications on the Microsoft Lync 2013 platform.

Project Tasks

Orange should implement Microsoft Lync in 104 divisions of JTI in 40 countries, to administer it and to manage.

The solution on the basis of Lync will integrate more than 20 thousand users to whom will provide access to services of instant messaging, information on presence, to web conferences, etc. 12 thousand users will get access to services of voice and video conference Lync Enterprise integrated with video conference-rooms. Orange will manage all architecture and an IT ecosystem, including the voice gateways Sonus and thousands of multimedia VVX Polycom business phones. Besides, it is necessary to connect 3 thousand mobile devices to Lync, tablets and smartphones.

The managed solution on the Lync platform gives the chance of JTI to increase decision making speed, to improve the business processes connected with communications. The mobile staff of JTI will be able to use the solution from any device where they would not be.

The main task of Orange Business Services - development of complex global approach to the organization of the solution for external and internal communications of users of JTI. According to the work plan, Orange within two years will deploy every week the solution on one of the platforms JTI. Works will begin in the territory of Europe and Russia.
