"The road clinical hospital at Khabarovsk-1 station" completed transition to the virtualized platform

On April 03, 2014 the Comparex company rendered services of consulting to IT specialists of NUZ "Road clinical hospital on station Khabarovsk-1 of JSC "Russian Railways" in questions of service migration on the single virtualized platform on the basis of Microsoft Hyper-V.

Project Tasks

Existing at the time of the beginning of the Customer's IT Infrastructure project did not satisfy to required characteristics. The booked audit revealed a number of weak points in IT structure of organization. First, there were no technologies of reservation, both a hardware, and program component of a server framework that in turn at failure of server components could bring to long idle times in rendering IT services and to considerable material losses. Secondly, software and the equipment it was used inefficiently and also several IT services at a high load were consolidated in one operating system on them.

Increase in efficiency of use of the available equipment and software licenses, release of the equipment for cold reservation and testing of new services were the main tasks. Upgrade of an information system based on technologies of server virtualization Microsoft Hyper-V was necessary for the solution of assigned tasks.

Project Progress

For project implementation the customer selected the Comparex company having successful experience in work with solutions of Microsoft. Technical specialists of Comparex company together with the customer's IT specialists within three months performed development and deployment of technology of virtualization based on a hypervisor of Microsoft Hyper-V consisting of two HP servers of BL 460c G6 and the general storage system of HP of StorageWorks P2000 G3 and also carried out migration of all services to virtual environment.

Migration was carried out using P2V technology. Within a month IT specialists of hospital together with technical spetsilist of Comparex performed seamless, step-by-step migration of the existing services among which, a corporate mail system on the Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 platform, the "electronic registry" system, the accounting system of 1C Accounting 8.2, the server of management of backup, network equipment and anti-virus providing.

Project Results

As a result of project implementation of NUZ "The road clinical hospital on station Khabarovsk-1 of JSC "Russian Railways" minimized costs for support of IT infrastructure, increased efficiency of use of the available software and the equipment, fault tolerance and data availability.
