Advanserv: Expert server

Creation purpose:

Develop a product which will help to pick up key parameters of the server to a task which the server will carry out.

Opportunities Server of Expert:

• Selection and calculation of power and capacity of the server according to a specific objective.
• Assessment of opportunities of the working server: whether the available server will be able to cope with a new task?
• Determination of need of updating of the server or one of its components.
• Calculation of a configuration of the server at increase of load of the server.
• Search of "bottlenecks" in the server (what parameter is most sensitive to performance).

How does Expert Server work?

The input pane of parameters is separated into two parts. In the first the user enters key parameters of a configuration of the available or planned server. - selects a task, the operating system and level of load of the server from the second (input of several tasks is possible). Each task needs to be added to calculation with the corresponding button "Add to Calculation". After clicking of the Calculate button the chart estimating server capacity by four parameters depending on the selected task will be submitted to the user. The rating of red color says that by this parameter there is a deficit of a resource, the rating of green color shows a stock of this resource and a percentage reserve under a specific objective.

In case of the choice only of one task in a pop-up window the specific models of servers suitable under the selected task and its level to complexity will be provided. You can make price selection of models using the runner.

Thus, even without being a specialist in the field of IT and knowing only initial data of your server, you can, without the help and consultations, to calculate the capacity of the server hardware. "Expert server" will answer idle time, but an important question: "What server is necessary to you?"
