Enterprise Cloud System is a cloud platform on the basis of System z.

On April 8, 2014 the IBM company provided the first cloud platform on the basis of the System z mainframe – IBM Enterprise Cloud System.

The integrated IBM Enterprise Cloud System platform is created on open standards and intended for the clients needing fast deployment of a safe cloud environment capable to maintain crucial loadings.

System z has advantages as the platform to cloud infrastructure of the enterprise. A system is capable to support up to 6 thousand virtual machines within one system, the safe multi-user environment and dynamic redistribution of loadings. Because of high efficiency and easy scaling, the total cost of use of cloud platforms of System z on the Linux platform can be 55% lower in comparison with cloud infrastructure on architecture ^[1].

IBM Enterprise Cloud System is delivered with the preset automatic management system and control over a cloud that accelerates deployment of cloud services. This offer integrates in one IaaS-solution the equipment System z, storage systems and the cloud software from IBM. It will help the IT organizations and to suppliers of cloud services to offer the clients the outstanding level of service and the system capable to sustain crucial loadings. Use of opportunities of a meynfrem in a cloud service removes the probable concerns about security and failures which are usually arising when using "clouds".
