On April 9, 2014 the Intelkom company announced automation of work of a warehouse complex of Aromat factory, using the WMS system "1C Logistics: Management of warehouse 3.0".
Project Tasks
For ensuring high rates of shipment of materials and component parts, quality improvement and efficiency of personnel, decrease in regrading and reduction of dependence on a human factor the management of factory decided to open a new multilevel warehouse and to implement on it a new management system.
For this purpose formulated requirements to a system:
- a system should be integrated with a corporate ERP system of 1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management which was already used at factory.
- ensuring shipment first of all of the remaining balance which came back from production that would help to avoid oversaturation of a warehouse such materials and to reduce losses in the course of their storage.
- automate acceptance and distribution of goods by storage locations, to facilitate search of unique goods items in a warehouse with the purpose of their further shipment to production. Earlier it was executed almost manually.
- provide full incoming inspection of quality of materials and component parts. Earlier there were cases of shipment of not standard or regrading on production.
As a basis for creation of the automation system of a warehouse complex the management of JSC Aromat selected the domestic WMS system "1C Logistics: Management of warehouse 3.0". This system has broad functionality, supports work of different types of the warehouse equipment facilitating accomplishment of above-mentioned tasks and can be easily integrated with the 1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management system which is already used in the company.
As the contractor of the project Intelkom LLC is selected.
Project Progress
The project is executed in 4 months without stopping of production. Timely commissioning of a new warehouse complex with a new management system provided readiness of factory for the next season of peak loading of production.
Project Results
Integration into the 1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management system helped employees of production to obtain operational information about a status of a warehouse and results of incoming inspection of quality of materials and component parts, and to employees of a warehouse - in time to receive tasks for preparation for transfer to production of all necessary for production.
Svetlana Falyuta, the project manager of automation of a warehouse of JSC Aromat, noted: "Influence minimization of "a human factor" for work of a warehouse became the main effect from application of a warehouse management system, ensuring production with ingredients and component parts became much more rhythmical and predictable. As a result of system implementation ensuring production on three working shifts forward completely to exclude possible idle times in work of production lines became possible".
