"OAK" implements the system of a video conferencing

On April 17, 2014 it became known of putting into operation of the first stage of a corporate data network of Objedinennoy aviastroitelnoy korporation (JSC OAK).

Project Results

Within the project the integration of a system of a video conferencing (VIDEOCONFERENCING) which integrated the VKS systems of 14 subsidiaries and affiliates is carried out. The project significantly increases employee performance of corporation because of decrease in time and finance costs on preparation and holding such actions as meetings of Boards of Directors, boards and committees, general shareholder meetings, meetings of heads of specialized departments and key divisions. At this VKS allows to organize meetings "face to face" and with foreign partners.

"As a result of economy of traveling expenses and more effective use of working time of employees system implementation of a video conferencing paid off in six months since the beginning of its use. At present the possibility of broad application of the personal VIDEOCONFERENCING systems is considered that will allow employees to perform video calls from the workplace and also to participate in high definition video conferencing (HD) with standard Cisco video terminals (Cisco SX20, C60) which equip meeting rooms. The VIDEOCONFERENCING new system maintains this functionality and does not require additional costs on its implementation in the future" — Andrey Timoshkin, the director of the department of information technologies of "OAK" told.

For registration of internal terminals the product Cisco TelePresence Video Communications Server (VCS) is used. Safe connection of subscribers out of network of the organization is implemented using the solution Cisco VCS Expressway. For transcoding of a video flow of the closed RTVideo protocol in standard protocols of VKS network and implementation of interaction between different communications systems the product Cisco TelePresence Advanced Media Gateway 3610 (AM GW 3610) is used. In the project progress the solution Cisco TelePresence TMS is implemented. It allows to keep corporate address directories, to collect reportings under video traffic and to plan meetings.
