Uralkali (Oracle Product Information Management Data Hub (PIM Data Hub))

The Uralkali company creates a single system of the normative reference information on the basis of the solution Oracle Product Information Management Data Hub (Oracle PIM) which is a part of the Oracle E-Business Suite complex. The project is executed under the direction of Oracle Consulting. The Uralkali company occupies about 10% of the market of chloride potassium, being one of the most highly profitable and most low-cost producers of potash fertilizers in the world.

Within the project the source of the relevant corporate normative reference information, uniform for all divisions of the company, will be developed. It is going to optimize an application campaign due to accurate classification of the purchased nomenclature; reduce time for processing of requests and placement of requests to suppliers; optimize the inventory level.

The corporate information system on the basis of Oracle E-Business Suite is implemented in the company in 2003. The created central repository of data on products will be integrated with the modules "Asset Management", "Purchases", "Production" and "Finance". A system will be brought into commercial operation in 2010.
