Matishov Gennady Grigoryevich

Matishov Gennady Grigoryevich is a member of presidium of RAS, the academician, the chairman of presidium of the Southern scientific center RAS.

Biography

Gennady was born on January 1, 1945 in the bay Transformation of Primorsky Krai, in family of the military personnel.

Graduated from the Rostov State University, served in the Soviet Army, worked at Polar research institute of fishery and oceanography of the city of Murmansk.

Since 1981 worked as the director of the Murmansk sea biological institute of KNTs RAS.

From 2000 to 2003 worked as the vice-chairman of the Kola scientific center RAS.

In 1990 it is elected the corresponding member of Academy of Sciences of the USSR in "sea ecology".

In 1997 became the academician of RAS in "oceanology".

Since November, 2002 works as the chairman of the Southern scientific center RAS.

Since 2006 - the organizer and the research supervisor of Institute of social and economic and humanitarian researches of the Southern scientific center RAS.

For April 25, 2014 Gennady Grigoryevich Matishov works as the chairman of presidium of the Southern scientific center RAS.
