Trellis Process Manager - the automated manager of workflows for data processing centers.

On March 27, 2014 the Emerson Network Power company announced release of Trellis Process Manager. The new module Trellis helps to create, monitor and visualize workflows of a data processing center for increase in efficiency and performance at accomplishment of typical tasks.

Description

When using add-on modules within the solution Trellis for ^[1], Trellis Process Manager also helps to plan precisely changes and to instantly keep track of results of their application that reduces costs and increases efficiency of a data processing center.

Trellis Process Manager allows to arrange all processes, including process of receiving approval of the changes made to infrastructure of a data processing center. The module includes four ready templates of key processes of DPC: installation, movement, decommissioning and renaming of devices. The best best practices which are most optimizing process of entering of any changes into architecture of a data processing center are the cornerstone of these templates. Separate actions within processes require approval, tasks are automatically appointed, and information on delays — go to the relevant staff or employee groups of DPC. As soon as the appointed tasks are carried out, the module Trellis Process Manager automatically updates the scheme of a data processing center, maintaining thus relevance of the plan of DCIM. Each template can be changed and added according to requirements and features of the organization.

In addition to process automation Trellis Process Manager provides to managers, designers and operators tools of cost estimation, the analysis and drawing up recommendations to the higher management about redistribution of budgetary funds. This module gives the chance of much more exact and fast assessment whereas assessment manually is often connected with excess difficulties and is insufficiently exact.
