The ATON investment company represents to private, corporate, institutional and international investors a full range of investment banking services. For increase in efficiency of project management the company in November, 2013 implemented a project management information system of Advant.

The ATON company has branches in 7 regions and cooperates with partners in more than 30 cities of Russia. In the company rather high level of project management is supported, the processes and regulations describing project activities for the PMI PMBOK standard are approved. In a year more than 20 organizational projects aimed at business development of the company are implemented. More than 20 people therefore except fixed functions of project management it was very important qualitative to organize project communications often participate in one project.

Situation to the project

For control of projects in the company the project management system of one of the largest software makers was used. Owing to the fact that use of this product required additional training and high qualification of users a system did not become the regular instrument of work of participants of organizational projects. Thereof, in the company there was no uniform base in which information on all projects and stages of their accomplishment would come down. There were difficulties with control of accomplishment of separate tasks and projects.

Project

System implementation of project management of Advant in ATON investment company was implemented in 3 weeks. Dmitry Svyatny – the managing director, the main participants – Nadezhda Mikshevich and Sergey Kornev became the head of this project from ATON. In a system specialists of Advanta Group configured templates of standard projects. At the initial stage 2 types of projects were configured: projects for clients and the strategic projects aimed at business development of the company. Thanks to templates development process of plans of new projects significantly became simpler. The organization of interaction of employees does not represent special work now, and tracking of the project progress is executed at any moment.

Except functionality of project management in a system the guidance loop was configured by the ideas. Now each employee can register the initiative through Advant project management system. After registration all ideas are discussed with experts directly in a system, then they are considered by project committee of the company. If the project committee makes the decision on idea implementation, the project is started in work directly from the Advanta system, and communication with the idea gives the best sense of purpose of the project for its participants.

By the end of implementation the staff of the company began to enter projects in the Advanta system actively. The project documentation was placed in a system in a binding to projects which it treats. Now all up-to-date information on the project is in one place that helped to lower time for its search significantly.

Results

Before Advanta's implementation the speed of dissemination of information and approval of documents between project participants strongly depended on personal diagrams of participants and their presence in a workplace. With Advanta's implementation need to organize meetings in time, convenient for all, disappeared. Approvals and heated debates began to take place directly in a system online.

Now the project management system of Advant became for ATON company convenient information center which informs the interested project participants on all changes. Operating control over the course of accomplishment of tasks and projects improved that in general helps the company to increase quality of project implementation and level of a maturity of project management in general.
