"Ural Bank for Reconstruction and Development" optimized the system of a reporting preparation using QlikView

December 04, 2015. The Qlik company and "Ural Bank for Reconstruction and Development" (UBRIR) reported^[1] about end of a pilot project on automation of the analytical reporting on the basis of QlikView.

Project Objective

The project objective was to simplify a reporting preparation and to give to employees of the bank an opportunity to analyze data in new cuts that will allow to raise operational indicators.

Choosing a Solution

Choice UBRIR for benefit of QlikView was caused by the fact that the platform gives ample opportunities for creation of the reporting and carrying out data analysis, and new cuts and reports on the basis of the available data can form business users independently, without involvement of IT specialists. Pluses of the solution became also universality regarding use of data sources and a fast response of the program during the work with it due to data processing in RAM.

Project Progress

During a pilot project based on the QlikView platform applications which allow to analyze data on deposits and the credits of private clients of "Ural Bank for Reconstruction and Development", information on liabilities of clients legal persons, on a number of the directions of commission income were created. Besides, the implemented solution allows to create local reports on quality of business processes.

During project UBRIR it was succeeded to increase data acquisition speed from different IT systems for previous day, report generation in new cuts, to simplify and accelerate preparation and the analysis of the management reporting.

Result

Labor costs on preparation of the management reporting were as a result optimized, but also, time for the analysis and decision making due to bigger flexibility in use of data was reduced.
