Gazprombank passes to a new automated system of specialized depositary

Gazprombank (Open joint stock company) transferred to the mode of trial operation an automated system of "SAPFIR-SD GPB", razrabotanuyu and implemented during the joint project of specialists of bank and the IT company of JSC CMD-Soft. A system contains three functional modules: Open of mutual funds, Mortgage of mutual funds and Mortgage Coverings. As a basis for project implementation the automated system of "SAPFIR-SD" developed CMD-Soft on the Microsoft Dynamics NAV platform which by the time of the beginning of the project in Gazprombank was already successfully operated in a number of large specialized depositaries of Russia was selected.

The project of implementation and system implementation of "SAPFIR-SD GPB" is designed to provide the proper level of automation of specialized depositary of GPB (joint stock company) according to the Federal laws "About Investment Funds" and "About Mortgage Securities". Before implementation of a new system specialists of bank used own practices which were based on long-term practical experience of work of specialized depositary with mutual investment funds and mortgage coverings. Development of activity of specialized depositary made relevant a problem of significant performance improvement of employees due to decrease in labor input of performing transactions and transition to the new qualitative level of automation. With respect thereto the management of bank made the decision on complex automation of specialized depositary.

The purpose of development and deployment of a new system - automation of all functions of specialized depositary on accounting and control of property and obligations of mutual investment funds and mortgage coverings. The key requirements imposed to a system are: the single database of all funds and mortgage coverings, accounting automation mutual fund, providing the most strict security requirements accepted in bank, the simple and clear interface, the configured automatic notifications of users on possible violations and important events, flexibility of a system and a possibility of the subsequent development and adaptation of a system under new requirements of the legislation and business.

The project on creation of a system for automation of specialized depositary passed in two main stages. At the first stage adaptation to requirements of bank of basic functionality of the block "Opened mutual fund" the SAPFIR-SD systems was performed and the new functional unit Mortgage of mutual funds is developed. Both functional units of a system were put on trials according to the standards of bank directed to verification of requirements of information security and correctness of work of business logic. The technique of testing and commissioning of the two first functional units of a system included check more than hundred different business scenarios. The second stage of the project was devoted to development and delivery of functional unit Mortgage Coverings.

The SAPFIR-SD GPB system is constructed on the basis of the single database with which different functional units interact. These blocks of a system implement algorithms and the automated business processes necessary for accounting and control of share funds and also works with mortgage coverings in a full compliance to requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation and the approved internal regulations of work of specialized depositary of GPB (joint stock company). Users are differentiated by access rights to information according to the executed functions.

A system underwent all test procedures provided by standards of bank and is started in the mode of trial operation. All business administrators were trained on work with functional units of a system, its setup and administration, and in confirmation of it received appropriate certificates.
