On June 5, 2014 the ActiveCloud by Softline company announced project completion of transfer in "cloud" of IT infrastructure of Evropart Rus company and organization of a "cloud" environment for 200 jobs.
Project Tasks
The customer company uses the ERP solution of own development for automation of a full fabrication cycle: from the order of spare parts at suppliers before their shipment to clients and also warehousing and accounting, logistics. In addition, in Evropart Rus Accounting, standard office and email clients, etc. are applied by 1C. The solutions used by the customer – centralized: all main systems are installed on servers at head office, and access via secure channels is provided to branches. Such approach requires the powerful equipment, reliability of communication channels and ensuring 24/7 service taking into account geographically distributed structure of the company.
In process of development of the Evropart Rus branch network, for the enterprise there were critical breaks in service resulting from failures of the different nature: failures of power supply at the central office, interruption in Internet connection. The company felt also need for upgrade of the server hardware, but support of work of IT infrastructure in the round-the-clock mode required resources and essential finance costs. It became clear - considerable upgrade of the IT equipment and expansion of IT department (such approach was recognized economically unprofitable) will be required or it is necessary to pass to "cloud" infrastructure.
By search of the supplier of "cloud" services the Evropart Rus company carried out monitoring of the opportunities presented at the market by providers and, as a result, selected ActiveCloud by Softline. Technical solution of the company was for the customer optimal at the cost and requirements conforming to it. The possibility of providing by provider of service of SLA Premium including the round-the-clock support with selection of the technical manager and the availability of infrastructure of 99.95% confirmed with financial guarantees became additional benefit.
Evropart Rus in the Russian market develops quickly. Therefore to us – as well as any growing company - business process automation, a possibility of flexible management by IT resources is important. And, respectively, the solution allowing to pay only those capacities which were really used was required", - Isaak Bezmozgy, the Chief information officer of Evropart Rus company noted.
Project Results
For June 5, 2014 the company uses a farm of virtual servers. It includes the ERP system with which more than 200 employees of the customer across all Russia, SQL databases, application servers, servers of terminals work. Use of cloud infrastructure of ActiveCloud helped to solve Evropart Rus a problem of centralization of IT, it lowered housekeeping overheads.
"Specialists Evropart Rus selected a technological way of development of IT, refused the usual scheme "store everything locally" and implemented the innovative solution.
