"Open hearts of Ukraine" create national telemedicine network

On June 16, 2014 it became known of project implementation "National telemedicine network" by Datagroup company together with Open Hearts of Ukraine charitable foundation with assistance of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

Project Progress

In 2013 the complex of works by means of which the possibility of profile consultation and diagnostics in specialized child care medical institutions of Ukraine in real time is increased is complete.

In March, 2012 the National Telemedicine Network project integrates regional specialized clinical centers of Ukraine: institutes, specialized hospitals, diagnostic centers, children's clinics. The project acts on the platform of computer and telecommunication technologies providing remote information exchange between specialists for quality improvement of diagnostics and treatment of patients.

Within cooperation of fund and the operator in 2013 27 child care medical institutions of national and regional level in 27 cities of Ukraine are connected.

Undertook expenses on access to network and service of data transmission channels Datagroup. The fund financed construction of fiber optic networks, connection of organizations, their hardware.

"In the world there are about 250 similar projects of different type of complexity now, and only 20% from them work in regions, rural and remote from megalopolises. In Ukraine the problem of timely medical care is particularly acute very much, and at present the telemedicine network is the unique solution for this reason we continue work on the project", - Alexander Danchenko, the CEO Datagroup noted.

Project Results

According to the results of the first quarter 2014 Datagroup executed construction of fiber optic communication channels in medical institutions of 9 cities of Ukraine:

• Vinnytsia regional children's clinical hospital
• Volynsk regional children's territorial medical consolidation
• Lviv regional children's clinical hospital "OKHMATDET"
• Kherson children's regional clinical hospital
• Crimean republican diagnostic center (Simferopol)
• Nikolaev regional children's hospital
• Zhytomyr regional children's clinical hospital
• Institute of urgent and recovery surgery of V.K. Gusak of Academy of medical sciences of Ukraine (Donetsk)

The company contractor is going to continue service of communication channels and to provide to hospitals Internet access with the subsequent support.
