Caspian Sea commodity exchange

The Caspian Sea commodity exchange joint-stock company since December, 2011 is engaged in the organization of biddings for exchange commodities according to the legislation on commodity exchanges of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The exchange is a member of the Interexchange Union of MES with the center in the city of Yerevan headed by Grigor Petrosovich Vardikyan.

For 2014 in Kazakhstan there is a list of exchange commodities which when exceeding a certain volume of operations with the concluded bargains, should pass only through commodity exchanges. In turn TB "Caspian Sea" is the universal exchange where using electronic platform regular trade on sections of industrial and consumer goods, agricultural products, oil and oil products, metals and hardware, purchases of subsoil users, state bodies and also trade in quotas for emission of greenhouse gases is performed.

Main objective of the exchange for 2014 is formation of the organized goods market providing concentration in one place of demand and supply and also creation of the clear and transparent mechanism of formation of the fair prices on principal commodities.

For 2014 in Kazakhstan 20 exchanges from which only 4 really acts are registered. The market — is, the competition — too. Speaking about positions, I will note that within a year after opening on turnovers, on a number of sections we became leaders, and on some sections we take the second places. Also we won the tender of the Ministry of the environment of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the right to become the only exchange in the country accredited for trade in quotas for emission of greenhouse gases (CO2) since August 30, 2013. Besides, we — the only commodity exchange in the territory of Kazakhstan which participates in development of the state project for development of the market of wholesale by electrical energy according to the concept of development of the elektroenergeticheky industry of RK since 2015.
