Svetlin Savov: Maconomy – one of the most available western ERP solutions in the Russian market

Svetlin Savov: The FTS company is a distributor of corporation Deltek for Eastern Europe, Russia and the CIS countries according to solutions of Maconomy and the golden partner of corporation Microsoft in the solutions Microsoft Dynamics (AX NAV and CRM). At the Maconomy system really Danish roots (as well as at Axapta and Navision), the developer company of the same name was founded in Copenhagen in 1989, the first version of Maconomy ERP was released in 1991. In 2010 the Maconomy company was purchased by the American corporation Deltek. The Maconomy system came to the Russian market after the clients – the European companies which implemented it at the Russian offices. Svetlin Savov: The user interface, printed forms and reports of the Maconomy ERP system and also documentation are available to users in Russian. Integration of a system with products of 1C Company (Accounting, Salary and personnel management) is implemented that provides providing required accounting and tax statements under Russian accounting standards.

Svetlin Savov: At the Maconomy ERP system a set of industry solutions which can be interesting not only to the European, but also Russian companies working in the corresponding industries. First of all, it is about solutions for the companies of real estate field (developers, management and operating organizations); for the construction and engineering companies; for distributors of industrial output; for auditing, consulting and law firms; for the advertizing and marketing agencies, etc. Practically all industry solutions of Maconomy are localized and available to the Russian customers.

TAdviser: What distinctive features of a system, including in relation to products of local ERP developer?

Svetlin Savov: Maconomy ERP proposes ready-made solutions and specific functionality for the companies in certain industries - the real estate, engineering and construction, industrial distribution, audit and consulting, advertizing and marketing. Industry solutions of Maconomy are based on 25-year experience with the leading customers from the different countries of the world and contain so-called "best practices" of business in the corresponding industries. The flexibility of setup and simplicity of system deployment allow to reduce an average term of its implementation to 4-6 months, and an average term of an investment payback – up to 1.5-2 years. It is also necessary to note that Maconomy – one of the most available western ERP solutions in the Russian market, and a system can be unrolled as locally, and in a cloud.

TAdviser: How support of customers after system implementation is provided? How the support line for the Russian clients as far as it is available is built?

Svetlin Savov: The FTS company offers a full range of services in support of customers of ERP solutions after implementation, including consulting services, answers to questions of users and the help in the problem resolution ("hot line"), updating and development of functionality of the implemented systems, user training, etc. For the Russian clients of Maconomy the center of support in Moscow which renders services in phone, e-mail, by means of remote access or departure of the consultant in office of the customer is organized. The Russian center of support closely interacts with specialists from the European, Asian and American centers for development and support of ERP solutions of Maconomy that allows to render to clients of 24/7 service.

TAdviser: Whether you perform implementation only independently or including through partners? If the second, then tell, please, about the partner network in Russia.

Svetlin Savov: In spite of the fact that the majority of implementations of Maconomy ERP in Russia was performed by forces of specialists of FTS company, to a number of projects external consultants and contractors for accomplishment of such tasks as studying of requirements of the customer and preparation of terms of reference, implementation project management, development of separate modules and reports, integration with external systems, etc. were attracted. We are open for cooperation with integrators, consultants and implementers and are especially interested in establishment of partnership with the IT companies from other regions of the Russian Federation.

TAdviser: What largest and/or interesting projects were implemented based on Maconomy ERP in 2013-2014?

Svetlin Savov: Among interesting projects based on Maconomy ERP in the last two years it should be noted system implementation in large construction company where management accounting, including planning and accounting of works on construction projects, accounting of commodity material resources and fixed assets, budgeting and control of cash flow, internal document flow, etc. is step by step automated.

Other interesting project is implementation of Maconomy ERP in the fast-growing agency in the Internet advertizing market. By means of a system process of work with clients of the agency was completely automated, since registration of requests of clients, calculation of project budgets and preparation of commercial offers, accounting of the rendered and paid services and finishing with profitability analysis of projects, clients and activity of the agency in general.

TAdviser: What your plans for business development in Russia for the next two-three years?

Svetlin Savov: If to speak about business of FTS company in general, we are going to expand further a portfolio proposed products and solutions and to advance actively not only ERP solutions, but also solutions in spheres CRM, BI and electronic document management, for the purpose of more complete satisfaction of customers needs. Also the output to the Russian market of new industry solutions for the companies of the power and oil and gas industries, for banks and insurance companies, etc. is planned. As for the Maconomy ERP direction, in the next plans – localization and an output to the market of the new basic version of a system with the improved user interface (including for mobile devices) and with essentially new development tools of additional functionality. Also further expansion of a partner network on implementing solutions based on Maconomy ERP in Russia and the CIS countries is planned.
