Amedia moved resources to "cloud"

On June 23, 2014 the ActiveCloud by Softline company announced transfer of web projects of a film studio of "Amedia" in "cloud" of ActiveCloud by Softline.

Project Tasks

Film studio of "Amedia", developing, organized new structures, the quantity of the websites where the base of video content was placed increased, the gain of performance and capacity of data transmission channels was required.

Content placed on film studio web resources can be browsed on any devices. The website is integrated with social networks that gives the chance to estimate the pleasant movie or a roller, to share it with friends. However own resources and servers ensuring functioning of services could not provide the necessary level of scalability, required considerable charges. Therefore in "Amedia" made the decision on use of cloud computing.

Project Progress

"When choosing provider we paid attention to an economic component, scaling options of resources, observance of SLA and a response time of technical support. The maximum fail-safety of work and high rates of availability of servers is important for studio. According to the results of assessment of opportunities of providers of cloud services the decision to place the websites with information on the company and studio and also the portal for the audience with license video content in "cloud" of ActiveCloud by Softline was made", - Evgeny Dyachenko, the head of IT department of a film studio of "Amedia" told.

Project Results

For June 23, 2014 "Amedia" uses cloud servers of ActiveCloud by Softline company with balancing service that allows to distribute loadings automatically. Thanks to it virtual servers operate normally, and users never face delays of a response of the websites. Infrastructure of the project and critical data are reserved in "cloud" on system 2n+1: in addition to the main and duplicative DWH the additional storage of backup copies is involved.

"We cooperate with a film studio of "Amedia" a progressive tense. Within this project we managed to give to the customer an opportunity to increase or reduce volumes of required computing resources at any time - depending on needs of the customer. It allows the company grow without any limit and also to quickly hold testing of new projects", – Darya Abramova, the project manager of ActiveCloud by Softline noted.
