Hlynov of CB (Microsoft SQL Server 2012)

Hlynov commercial bank (open joint stock company) - the universal credit institution created for service of the population and business community. The oldest Kirov regional bank began the history on March 6, 1990 as "The Kirov cooperative bank", is renamed into Hlynov Commercial bank in 1992.

Situation

For business development and maintenance of the high level of competitiveness the company made the decision on creation of a modern analysis system of activity and business performance for support of acceptance of the justified and strategically right management decisions. The existing information infrastructure of the company did not give an opportunity of the operational and comprehensive analysis of results. Creation of a single analytical system with a possibility of consolidation of data and providing the convenient, operational reporting became a project objective.

Project Tasks

For the solution of an assigned task it was necessary to pick up the solution which could meet most fully all requirements and at the same time to be the most compatible to already existing IT infrastructure.

As a result of work on the project several tasks were solved:

• the uniform data warehouse based on the Microsoft SQL Server platform is created;
• analytical models are developed for versatile data analysis and implemented in the form of an OLAP cubes;
• the range of the reports defined in technical specifications on the project is developed;
• for operating control of activity of bank are developed and placed on the SharePoint corporate portal of a panel of indicators with the detailing reports;
• real data from systems sources were loaded into a system and the procedure of automatic update of data is configured.
• As the client application it was decided to use Microsoft Excel and SharePoint that minimized time and training costs of employees as users work in the interface already familiar to them.
