CORUS Consulting completed the project of creation of the automated control system based on Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 in Skandik Konstrakshn

On November 14, 2014 the CORUS Consulting group completed the complex project of creation of the automated control system based on Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 in Skandik Konstrakshn company. The CORUS Consulting company works as integrator in the project.

Project Tasks

Key priority of business Skandik Konstrakshen - the high level of quality of the made products. To conform to the high quality standards applied in Norway where the frame houses made by the company are delivered it is necessary to import a considerable part of materials from Europe. An important strategic objective of business, in this light, is transition to a specific mode of customs processing which can be open only in the presence in the company of the transparent system implementing accounting of all export-import transactions and creating reports by numbers of customs declarations.

Increase in production caused relevance of problems of increase in efficiency of planning of supply of materials, reductions of time for preparation of operating plans, reduction of stock balance. What, in turn, became the reason for making decision on transition to the new level of information support of business by means of implementation of a modern information system.

Project Progress

The Skandik Konstrakshen company selected the ERP system of Microsoft Dynamics AX. The choice is caused by existence in a product of Microsoft company of all set of functionality, necessary, both for the solution of assigned tasks, and for further development of a system together with emergence of new opportunities for business development.

Result

In a new information system all key business processes of the company were automated: maintaining normative reference information, purchase, sale, banking and warehouse transactions, planning and production and also reporting.

Transfer of the business processes connected with a production and inventory control and also maintaining the normative reference information to places of emergence of information – directly on production and a warehouse became one of characteristics of the project.

Transfer of these functions from accounting to production departments allowed to improve efficiency and quality of accounting, to have an opportunity online of tracking of stock balance and all transactions, as on purchased materials, and the made semi-finished products and finished goods. Important strategic business objective of Skandikkonstrakshn is transition in 2015 to a specific mode of customs processing. For this purpose in MS DAX of 2012 an opportunity to monitor all transactions, from intake of import materials before their write-off in production and sales of finished goods for export, by numbers of customs declarations was implemented. Also in a system all reports for providing in the customs authorities necessary according to requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation for opening of the mode of processing are implemented.

Within the project integration of Microsoft Dynamics AX with the system of design of SEMA used in the company was implemented that allowed to automate receiving up-to-date data according to specifications of finished goods. Besides, integration into the 1C: Accounting system was executed, and Corus Consulting implemented functionality of data transmission from both systems. Within a subproject of the organization of IT infrastructure Corus Consulting made delivery and setup of the server hardware, necessary for system operation, installed the system of cloud backuping based on AcronisBackuptoCloud, archiving and antivirus protection.

Now Skandikkonstrakshn increases production volumes: the company passed to a new 12-hour operation mode and also is going to open the second production line. The new information system not only will allow to manage effectively the current business processes, but also will become the powerful driver of development of the company in the future.

The joint project of CORUS Consulting Group and Skandikkonstrakshn became the Russia's first project put into operation based on new release of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 released in May, 2014. The solution included flexible business solutions which completely corresponded to needs of the customer, the functionality of the module of expanded management of a warehouse which appeared in the new version of a system was used for the solution of a number of accounting tasks.
