"Ukrtelecom" starts the VIDEOCONFERENCING new system

On June 27, 2014 the Asteros Ukraine company announced start of a system of a video conferencing (VIDEOCONFERENCING) for the national telecom operator Ukrtelecom. A system is based on Polycom RealPresence infrastructure.

Project Progress

The contractor in the project of creation of the VKS system the customer selected Asteros Ukraine company from Ukrtelekom. The project provided upgrade of all main nodes of a system, replacement of terminal equipment in 34 Ukrtelekom studios across all Ukraine - on the modern systems of Polycom of HDX 7000.

Special attention in a work progress was paid to ensuring flexible and convenient system management of a video conferencing. On the platform of new generation Polycom RealPresence reliable and simple tools in navigation and management for administration, troubleshooting and optimization of video flows in network are implemented. One of key requirements - ensuring fault tolerance and reliability of work of VKS managed to be reached by means of reservation of a core at the hardware level.

Project Results

For June 27, 2014 the upgraded system of a video conferencing "Ukrtelecom" the largest and the most hi-tech in the Ukrainian market. She provides video conference of high definition with permission of a video flow 720p, helps to create the virtual halls of meetings integrating participants of a meeting irrespective of their location, the used network, the protocol, applications or devices from which access is implemented. By means of integration with LyncSkype services / staff of the company can communicate with clients, partners, among themselves, using all advantages of VKS – video calls, conferences and so forth.

"It is important to note that as a result of upgrade of the VKS system the unified environment for joint work which guarantees idle time and secure access to technologies of video conference of a corporate class to all employees where they were was created: on the way, on a remote object or at office. Thanks to solutions on the RealPresence platform video cooperation becomes available to all and always, irrespective of the used network, the protocol, the application or the selected device. It is reached thanks to an opportunity to install the software client on the notebook, the tablet and even the smartphone.
