Direct Part Marking - icDPM - the system of information support of product lifecycle. The product provides absolutely exact identification of a product and helps to avoid use of a counterfeit.

On June 27, 2014 the Intelkom company announced an output to the market of a new product in the field of information support of product lifecycle on the basis of technologies of automatic identification - icDPM (Direct Part Marking).

The solution is intended for application in the field of production, in particular, at the enterprises of the defense, machine-building, aerospace, electronic industries. The icDPM PC can be used as an independent information system, and as a part of already implemented at the enterprise PLM ERP, CRM systems", - told Sergey Karpov, the CEO of the company Intelky.

The software package icDPM is based on sharing of the database of the information system accumulating information on a product from a stage of design and technology preparation of production to a utilization stage, and technology of marking of a product the two-dimensional shaped code containing its unique identification number – a key to information in a system. Such approach allows to make monitoring is more better and to unambiguously identify the product, to understand and remove the defects causes at any production phase, to increase quality of products and to counteract the organization of counterfeit business.

The icDPM PC helps the company:

Specific Features

  • Control of a product at all stages of its lifecycle. Two components are necessary for ensuring information support of product lifecycle: identifiability of a product during its lifecycle and existence of the information system accumulating information on a product from a creation stage to a stage of utilization and providing this information on a request.
  • Reliability of marking – a key to each part. For identification of a product directly the Data Matrix code containing unique number and being a key of access to its electronic passport in an information system is applied on its surface two-dimensional shaped. Direct marking remains during all product lifecycle. Application of Data Matrix will allow to automate processes of drawing, reading and input in an information system of a unique article number – and, therefore, to eliminate wrong actions of personnel and to automate filling of an information system data on a product.
  • Scalability. The icDPM PC is developed as the replicated platform implementing basic feature set which adapt and configured under specific conditions of application at an implementation stage at the enterprise of the customer based on inspection. The main functionality of design and technology preparation of production – implementation of structure of a product, development of policy of formation of serial numbers, formation of the route chart and so forth. Among basic functions of a production phase there is an automatic filling of a system information on the made products and assemblies, automatic filling of the technology passport of a product, accounting of purchased products and others.
  • Failure from manual entry. Use of two-dimensional shaped coding in systems managing product lifecycle allows to automate identification of a product, to automate processes of drawing, reading and input in an information system of a unique article number, and, at last, to automate information input in systems managing product lifecycle i.e. to automate information storage about a product. Thereby the information system turns into the ZhTsI effective management tool in real time.
