On July 3, 2014 the Comparex company announced completion of upgrade of the Microsoft Lync platform in EuroChem company.
Project Tasks
The EuroChem company uses the system of the joint communications Microsoft Lync Server 2010 in the work, however this software solution not completely satisfied needs of staff of the company, as caused in the opinion of the management IT podrezdeleniya need of upgrade of the platform and creation of a unified number plan using technology means from Avaya.
Project Progress
On the basis of data of the carried-out analysis of the infrastructure systems specialists of Comparex suggested to carry out migration on Microsoft Lync Server 2013 to EuroChem companies then to investigate a question of creation of the uniform number of rooms on the basis of Microsoft Lync Server 2013 and the equipment Avaya and also options of creation of a unified number plan.
The IT management of EuroChem made the decision on migration on Microsoft Lync Server 2013.
The customer demanded the soft junction transparent for end users of a system, without idle times in work of service, saving all existing parameters and settings of the unrolled system, both at the level of the server, and at the level of users.
The project is implemented step by step. Specialists of Comparex jointly with IT specialists of the customer carried out migration of infrastructure of Microsoft Lync Server 2010 on the Microsoft Lync 2013 platform then data migration of users and current settings of the Lync 2010 servers is carried out.
Migration is performed smoothly, without technical stops or failures, the fault tolerance of service on the basis of the current opportunities of infrastructure is provided and also support of several SIP domains is implemented.
Project Results
The EuroChem company received the failsafe service of communications expected a heavy load, having a stock of resources. Now many organizational issues in the company are resolved quickly and without delays. Coordination level between employees increased. Remote meetings and meetings helped to optimize labor resources and provided economy on traveling expenses.
