Novolipetsk Metallurgical Combine, NLMK (Microsoft System Center 2012)

By a number of large projects the 2013th year for "Asteros Consulting" was mentioned. Among them - the largest industry project on management of IT infrastructure in JSC Novolipetsk Metallurgical Combine holding (NMLK group). The team of 30 qualified specialists implemented implementation of a complex Microsoft of the System Center systems, unique for the Russian market, and created uniform infrastructure of a private cloud which users are 18,000 employees of NLMK in Lipetsk, Revda and Moscow.

Management of the created infrastructure was implemented based on Microsoft System Center 2012. With its help it was succeeded to centralize functions of service divisions of the companies of holding, to upgrade an operational model of NMLK, to unify standard processes, to optimize quantity of the used IT systems, to liquidate duplication of functionality in software and processes of providing. Uniform infrastructure of a private cloud which users are 18,000 employees of NLMK in Lipetsk, Revda and Moscow was as a result unrolled.

In the NMLK group the IT general service center according to effective model of providing IT services functions. Already at the first stages it allowed to reduce risk of idle time of corporate applications by 80%, to reduce time of deployment of the new server from one day to 15-25 minutes, to increase utilization of server capacities by 70% and also to reduce cost value of services when preserving their quality. This implementation became the Russia's first experiment on creation of the single automated platform of management of IT executed on solutions of one vendor.
