March 30, 2015. The Russian Railway Trading House open joint stock company and the leading expert in the market of IT consulting of NORBIT (enters into LANIT group) announced project completion on implementation of a corporate system of management on the SAP ERP platform. This system allowed JSC TD Russian Railway to optimize the main business processes and to effectively exercise planning, control and accounting within primary activity, representatives of the company integrator reported TAdviser.
Project History
The project started in February, 2010. The decision on implementation in JSC TD Russian Railway of a corporate system of management based on SAP ERP was made in connection with transition of all companies entering into Russian Railway holding to a technology platform of SAP. In 2011 specialists of NORBIT implemented a subsystem "Supply with material resources". At the second stage of the project the functionality of the logistic and financial subsystems supporting all main activities of JSC TD Russian Railway which was entered in the mode of commercial operation in 2014 was implemented.
Result
Now the corporate system of management covers all cycle of primary activity of JSC TD Russian Railway: purchase management and sale, logistics, budgeting, accounting and tax accounting. Thanks to SAP ERP system implementation the general time of approval of documentation considerably decreased, the gap in accounting and operational accounting was reduced, effective information exchange in structure of JSC TD Russian Railway is established. Further maintenance and development of this system will be performed by own forces of specialists of the company.
