Abner company (www.avenir-s.ru) specializes more than 16 years in trade in food and has a big coverage in the south of Russia. The company is a distributor of the known global and domestic manufacturers.

During the existence the Ltd company "Abner" accumulated extensive experience of brand development and aims at further quality improvement of work.

Project Objectives

The company management Avenir for Digital Group Laboratory company set the task of automation of receiving actual "profits and losses" of group by:

  • types of activity;
  • distributor contracts;
  • cities;
  • sales channels.

Solution

Specialists of Digital Group Laboratory together with Financial service of Abner company designed the data warehouse based on Deductor Warehouse 6 for Firebird DBMS, integration with 1C: Accounting 7.7 and with other information sources is configured. Much attention was paid to the organization of ETL process: procedures of search of errors and admissions of data are configured, mechanisms of cleaning, detection of duplicates and contradictions are created. Then the first analytical reports were constructed.

Automation of creation of the reporting in the company Abner

Processes (regulations) of creation of the report "profits and losses" are formalized and in detail described. The algorithm of allocation of costs between sales channels is created, tested and approved.

After training of specialists of Abner company they could pass into short terms to independent support and further development of a system. The project success became possible thanks to active participation of the chief financial officer Parkhomenko Galina Aleksandrovna, it allowed to implement an analytical system in short terms. Now use of an OLAP cubes gives the chance to quickly create analytical reports in any cuts and with any extent of detailing.

Result

The management the staff of financial, operational and marketing departments became users of an analytical system. According to the chief financial officer of Abner company Parkhomenko Galina Aleksandrovna system implementation increased analysis depth, increased the speed and accuracy of acceptance of management decisions.
