On July 16, 2014 the Rostelecom company announced the telecom operator performance of the government contract on providing inter-chip digital links for divisions of the Department of MIA of Russia for the Kirov region.
Project Progress
The VPN network (Virtual Private Network is a virtual private network), which integrated objects of police department in a common information space, located in the district centers of the region is organized.
Within the contract Rostelecom created the isolated departmental network at data transfer rate to 2 Mbps and during 2014 will ensure it round-the-clock operation.
VPN channels integrated local computer networks of 64 divisions of Regional Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia across the Kirov region. Divisions of police got access to internal information resources of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation across the Kirov region and a possibility of the protected, operational data exchange.
