The range of high-quality optics of Fujinon company was filled up in the summer of 2014 by the fast varifocal lenses of the DV2.2x4.1SR4A series expected work in the conditions of difficult or insufficient illumination together with surveillance cameras of formats 1/1.8 – 1/4 inches and with a resolution up to 6 megapixels. New megapixel lenses have compact dimensions, a glass optical system from high-quality lenses, the range of focal distances from 4.1 to 9 mm and viewing angles up to 100.1 °. Besides, these megapixel models provide IK-correction during the work with "day/night" cameras, support manual or automatic iris control with management DC and P-Iris and have the minimum depth of field of 0.3 m.

Resolution capability of megapixel models of the DV2.2x4.1SR4A family makes 6 MP that allows to use them together with cameras of high resolution, including models of the HDTV standard and 5 MP cameras growing in demand lately (2992х1680 px.). Thanks to high quality and purity of lenses, new megapixel lenses are capable to meet requirements of the majority of problems of security video surveillance not only in respect of visual control of a situation on an object, but also in intellectual processing of video. All lenses of the DV2.2x4.1SR4A series belong to type of varifocal and have the range of focal distances from 4.1 to 9 mm.

Three megapixel models — DV2.2x4.1SR4A-2, DV2.2x4.1SR4A-SA2 and DV2.2x4.1SR4A-SA2L differing with mechanisms of adjustment of relative lens opening are a part of a new series. So, iris control in DV2.2x4.1SR4A-2 is performed manually, and the megapixel lenses DV2.2x4.1SR4A-SA2 and DV2.2x4.1SR4A-SA2L support automatic iris control with the DC management and the P-Iris system and are completed with a control cable of ARD 100 mm and 230 mm long, respectively. At the same time all lenses of a series provide setup of an aperture in the range from F1.6 to T360.

Important advantages of a series of 6-megapixel Fujinon optics are rather wide angles of the overview and full compatibility with the cameras having formats of sensors 1/1.8", 1/2", 1/3" and 1/4". The maximum viewing angle of new products makes 100.1 ° when megapixel lenses are established on cameras with the 1/1.8-inch sensor. At the same time for coincidence tuning of focus each lens of the DV2.2x4.1SR4A series has the focus mechanism providing fast changing of focal distance at installation of the surveillance camera on an object.

Adjustment of depth of field in megapixel DV2.2x4.1SR4A optics is performed in the range from 0.3 m indefinitely. The minimum depth of field is selected for video control of motionless objects, for example, behind a zone of the cash register, or for monitoring of the general situation on an object. At the same time megapixel lenses display a central subject in focus, and other blurred not to distract attention of the operator foreign parts. For simultaneous observation of a set of objects in the field of the overview new cameras allow to increase depth of field.

Function of IK-correction at all models of the DV2.2x4.1SR4A series provides the increased quality of video during the work with the megapixel "day/night" cameras supplied with the switched-off IK-filter. Besides, the high photosensitivity does new megapixel lenses by the optimal choice for obtaining the detailed image in the conditions of especially low illumination on an object at their installation on color cameras of high resolution. Irrespective of with what type of the surveillance camera the lens is used, durability of its connection will provide metal fastening with a standard thread of CS-type.
