In January, 2017 Technoserv company, the Russian system integrator, announced project completion on reconstruction of the Mogilev combined heat and power plant No. 1 (Republic of Belarus) using modern steam-gas technologies. Project cost was $46.6 million.
The vice-chairman of Council of Ministers of Republic of Belarus Vladimir Semashko, the Chairman of the Mogilev regional executive committee Vladimir Domanevsky, the Minister of Energy of Republic of Belarus - Vladimir Potupchik, the Vice-chairman Gosstandarta - the director of the department of energy efficiency - Mikhail Malashenko, the President of Technoserv Group - Sergey Korneev and another invited participated in the grand opening of an object which was held at the end of December.
Within the project Technoserv carried out upgrade of the Mogilev CHPP-1 which provided installation of the gas turbine (GTU) of General Electric (LM2500+) with an electric power of 26,5 MW and also the boiler utilizer providing utilization of a residual heat of an exhaust of GTU and developing up to 40 tons of steam per hour. Fuel for GTU is natural gas.
According to the contract Technoserv executed a full range of works, including design, dismantling of the existing equipment and a construction, construction of the new turbine hall, equipment procurement, its tests on manufacturing plant, installation, adjustment, starting tests and personnel training of the customer. In a project deliverable today the electric efficiency of the gas turbine unit is 36.5%, the total electric power of the station – 47.7 MW.
"The scheme of upgrade selected by us allowed to reconstruct the existing main building of CHPP-1 that is additional plus for the customer, both regarding service, and regarding updating of the fixed business assets, – Dmitry Butorin, the head of competence center in the field of power of Technoserv company noted. – As a result of reconstruction the set electric power of CHPP-1 is increased by 26.5 MW that gives the chance to develop five times more electric power. The annual leave of heat increased by 1.7 times. All this will provide future needs of the Mogilev residential districts Kazimirovka and the West. Besides, reliability of power supply of consumers of the Mogilev industrial hub due to reduction of deficit of electric power of the generating sources increased".
For Technoserv the project on reconstruction of the Mogilev CHPP-1 became already the second in Belarus. Forces of integrator carry out reconstruction of the Mogilev CHPP-3 with construction of a steam-gas unit. Earlier the power of this power facility was 210 Gcal/h without electricity production. Now the CHPP-3 is capable to develop 10% more heat and to generate 18.8 MW of electric power. The modern Mogilev CHPP-3 provides with the electric power apartment houses, industrial enterprises and administrative and household buildings of a northern part of the city.
2014
On August 12, 2014 the Technoserv company announced a victory in an open competition on reconstruction of the Mogilev combined heat and power plant No1 (Republic of Belarus) using modern steam-gas technologies. Project orderer of RUP "Mogilevenergo".
Project Tasks
Within the new project Technoserv should be carried out upgrade of the Mogilev CHPP-1. During the project the contractor will execute a full range of works, including:
- design,
- dismantling of the existing equipment and construction,
- construction of the new premises,
- equipment procurement,
- tests of the equipment on manufacturing plant,
- installation,
- adjustment,
- starting tests
- personnel training of the customer.
The full range of project works is going to be completed in 22 months. The technology scheme CCGT represents the power unit consisting of the gas turbine unit of production of GE, two booster gas compressors of production Enerproject and a boiler of the utilizer of TEP-Holding, pumping shutoff valves, a water lock of installation of chemical water purification. To the CCGT it is intended for work in the heating mode and it is integrated into the existing technology scheme of the boiler house with issue of steam in the general trunk.
"Executing the large project in regions and other states, Technoserv first of all involves the local companies in cooperation, it concerns all stages of the project: from design before setup tests, - Sergey Korneev, the managing director of Technoserv company told. - As well as at the first project in Mogilev, creation of skilled workers of places with the worthy pay level of work will become result of our work with local contractors. Thus, we try not only "take", but also "return" by involvement of the Belarusian specialists, placing orders for production of the equipment at the republican enterprises, buying materials from local suppliers. We consider it correct and one of key working conditions Technoserv in the regional markets".
"We are glad to continuation of our cooperation with Mogilevenergo, and first of all because we see a constructive position of our Belarusian partners, we see considerable measures for improvement of a situation in power which are systematically undertaken by the government of Republic of Belarus. Thanks to the adopted state program for reform of power supply system of the country, it is headed for implementation of the most modern and most energy efficient solutions. Behind them the future, – Dmitry Butorin, the associate director of department on work in the field of power and energy saving of Technoserv integrator noted. – Having experience of implementation of similar projects both in Russia, and in Belarus, Technoserv is ready to implement these know-how for the benefit of inhabitants of the Republic. Besides, our experience allows to perform works that is called "turnkey", from filling of the base before construction of network and engineering infrastructure, supply of equipment, installation, a complex commissioning, warranty and service support. And therefore from year to year the power segment of our business steadily grows, but for the last three years we achieved especially good results in the field of power industry. This direction grew almost by 60%".
