Industry solution of BusinessQlik for Retail (for retail) based on QlikView

Project Development

On August 12, 2015 the QLIK company and retail grocery chain "Magnit" signed the agreement on the basis of which Magnit considerably will increase the number of licenses of the QlikView "Magnet" platform[1].

Project objective - to deepen use of a business intelligence, covering all directions of business and providing to employees effective tools for development of network.

"The project on implementation of QlikView in our company started in 2012. During this time we managed to achieve good results: we began with creation of an infopanela for heads of the block of sales, and now a BI system is used by almost all leadership team – from top managers to managers of separate departments, – Pombukhchan Khachatur Eduardovich, the chairman of the board of directors of retail network "Magnit" told. – We see, use of this platform is how effective and convenient – it led us to the decision on increase in number of licenses".

For August 12, 2015 top management of network uses summary infopanel. The operational directorate uses role panels for heads of all main levels in such directions as sales, personnel, transactions of shops, their range and economy. Besides, managers of this division using QlikView can analyze information on competitive environment and manage commodity development. In directorate on development on the QlikView platform management of plans of opening of objects, efficiency analysis of new objects and modeling of opening of outlets are implemented. The commercial directorate carries out the comprehensive analysis of categories, producers, and department of logistics – management of transactions RTs (command center by processes) and control of level of service of deliveries. QlikView and for work with personnel is used: using a product the assessment of effectiveness of employees, the atmosphere in collective and labor protection level is carried out.

"We selected Qlik by a number of parameters. The first is an associative model which allows to cut quickly non-working combinations of data, to execute fast intuitive data filtering. Besides we were attracted by rich visualization and flexibly configured interface – they allow to identify quickly deviations, to work on the preconfigured scenarios of the analysis, – Sergey Fedorchenko, the director of economic department of retail network "Magnit" reported. – High speed of system operation allows to work online and to carry out the analysis with a speed of a thought, close to speed. Having tested solutions of several producers, we were convinced that in a case with Qlik we really receive what to us is promised, and the platform allows us to create the working BI solutions in days and weeks instead of months.
