In August, 2014 the producer of servers and provider of services of a hosting from Omsk -the Promobit company - provided the server of data storage Bitblaze Rus founded on domestic electronic and component base. The server uses the Elbrus 2C+ processor developed by MCST and works running Elbrus OS based on a kernel of Linux 2.6.33 certified on the 2nd level of control of NDV and the 2nd class of security from NSD.

The server supports 15, 30 or 40 hard drives SATA of a format of 3.5 inches with "hot swap" and is held for use as a part of backup systems, storages of databases, DWH NAS and SAN a basis iSCSI and other protocols. Also Bitblaze Rus can be used in systems video surveillances, the systems of streaming of digital content and as nodes of storage of a cluster of a computing cloud.

"The fact that in hands of MCST all development cycle of the computing module – from architecture of the processor and distributing of the printed circuit board to the source codes BIOS, the operating system and the compiler is concentrated – gives unique opportunities on creation of the entrusted computing means", - developers note.

Unique technology of MCST in Promobit call the mode of the protected execution of programs which allows to control hardware correctness of circulation of the program to memory at the level corresponding to a logical structure of the program and also to detect unassigned variables. By means of this technology Promobit developers are going to equip servers with especially reliable software modules steady in relation to information threats.

One of founders of Promobit, the commercial director Evgeny Teplyakov told TAdviser that their company is going to sign the agreement with MCST on delivery of motherboards of the last as a part of the products. Potentially the company expects to implement about 100-150 servers of storage based on Elbrus within a year, he says.

The CEO of Promobit Maxim Koposov specifies that as of the middle of 2014 his company investigates the market and looks for in it niches for the new product based on Elbrus. He also noted that this process is far from end. After careful study and marketing the company is going to occupy an essential niche, at least several percent from the mid-range market of DWH in Russia, Koposov says, adding that 1% of this market, according to IDC for 2013, makes about 120 million rubles.

"In the market there are expectations of a product on Elbrus, and they grow. We had concerns that people with some negative will obviously treat domestic processor technologies as it was with domestic automotive industry, but fortunately, it does not occur", - the CEO of Promobit notes.

According to Evgeny Teplyakov, the cost of the normal server of Promobit begins from 100 thousand rubles, and the cost of new model on Elbrus will be about 2-2.5 times higher. Add to the companies that with transition of the project from a test status to commercial start the price can change.

As of August, 2014 there is no preorder for Bitblaze Rus yet. Among users of normal servers of Promobit based on import processors - a number of the regional organizations - from the Ministry of state and legal development of the Omsk region to municipal libraries. From widely famous clients Maxim Koposov calls Navitel and also experience of sales of servers to divisions of MTS and Yota. There were sales and to clients from state agencies of Kazakhstan.

Promobit conducts development and design of servers, and places orders for their production on third-party platforms in Omsk. According to Maxim Koposov, his company thinks of start of production in Naberezhnye Chelny: "we made friends with the IT Park of the Republic of Tatarstan, and we consider that we can be each other useful".

The commercial director of the company told TAdviser that the company invested own means from hosting business in development of servers earlier, and in 2014 is going to submit applications for grant support at the regional level and also to Skolkovo.
