Svyazcom set SS7 Gateway for Vaynakh Telecom

The Svyazcom company set the Svyazcom.SS7 Gateway platform for Vaynakh Telecom Ltd — the universal telecom operator in the Chechen republic and also the largest operator of a multiservice communication network in the North Caucasus.

The Svyazcom.SS7 Gateway platform reveals and blocks illegitimate SMS traffic: spam of mailing, fraud, etc. Scanning, the analysis of traffic and, if necessary, blocking is made in the automatic mode. Rules of blocking are flexibly configured.

"Svyazcom.SS7 Gateway" analyzes both message contents, and headings, a source address, including number of the SMS center of the sender.

Additional functionality is given:

• the analysis of traffic in the directions, both for sent, and for the received messages;
• the analysis of problems of components of network after the incident or failure;
• the platform is expected use for the means of investigation and search operations (MISO);
• identification of harmful behavior of nodes of SS7 network of other operators;
• balancing of traffic between components of network of the operator in case of a distributed architecture of SS7 nodes.

Implementation of the platform will allow to solve a problem of illegitimate SMS traffic in network of the operator and, as a result, to increase loyalty of subscribers. For the operator this platform is the convenient tool of the analysis of traffic and additional control of network components.

Svyazcom.EasyHLR performs in network of the operator the following functions (in relation to the selected part of number capacity):

• Storage of profiles of subscribers (in particular linking of IMSI-MSISDN).
• Data storage on authentication of the subscriber (AUC).
• Support of transactions of creation, removal, blocking and unblocking of profiles.
• Support of the transaction Location Update from VLR and from the equipment of GPRS.
• Request processing of SRI.
• Storage of the other information necessary for registration of subscribers in network.
• Processing of the other events connected with rendering the SMS, GPRS/3G of services.
• HTTP/TELNET the interface for an institution, modifications, removals of profiles.
