Kazakhtelecom creates virtual infrastructure

On August 25, 2014 the companies "Kazakhtelecom" and "Jet Infosystems" announced creation of virtual infrastructure for providing services "Virtual Data Center" (VDC) and "Data storage" to corporate clients of the operator – from a cloud.

Project Tasks

JSC Kazakhtelecom develops a range of client IT services. From "cloud" attracted Jet Infosystems company to start of new services.

Solving assigned tasks of the VDC organization, the project team unrolled a virtual environment, organized infrastructure of management. The IT complex is connected to the automation system of providing cloud services integrated with a self-service portal and the systems of billing.

Project Results

Providing Data storage service provides the separate IT complex, the including pool of resources of storage and a management tool integrated with the client portal and a billing system. For customers the possibility of automated management of lifecycle of information is implemented. At the same time access to the cloud storage is possible both with the PC, and from mobile devices – through Internet channels or corporate network.

"We laid the technology foundation for development of strategic partnership with our corporate clients based on which we can provide not only required segments of infrastructure, but also render additional services, such as installation, setup and administration of the applied systems, – Bakhtiar Oshurbayev, the commercial director of directorate of information systems of JSC Kazakhtelecom noted. – Possibilities of new services were already estimated by several large Kazakhstan companies".

At the same time they are saved from need to buy the expensive equipment, to build and support own IT infrastructure".

Services are provided on the platform of own DPC of JSC Kazakhtelecom of level of reliability Tier III on the IaaS model, and include dynamic selection of IT resources on demand and also a possibility of self-service.
