"1C:WMS Logistics. Management of a warehouse", edition 4.0 is implemented in a warehouse of "the Russian of the Tea Company"

"The Russian Tea Company" — one of the largest suppliers to Russia of tea and coffee and also tea accessories, ware, sweets and joint products. The company since 1998 possesses own production and buys tea leaves on plantations and auctions of China, Ceylon and India. Today "the Russian Tea Company" has more than 4,000 partners and is the conventional leader in sales of weighed out tea.
In 2014 the company performed moving on the new warehouse complex of class A which is in Moscow. There, on the area of 7,500 sq.m, about 15,000 product names, including 5,000 active contain. The building of a warehouse represents the one-storey construction separated into two parts: production and warehouse of storage. Practically all area of a warehouse is occupied with narrow-passage racks, but also there are a three-level mezzanine and shirokoprokhodny racks. The warehouse complex is separated into zones of pallet storage, a selection zone by packagings from narrow-passage racks, a mezzanine zone for selection of piece goods, a zone of returns, a defects zone and also an expedition zone.
Choosing a Solution
Even before moving on a new warehouse the guide of "the Russian of the Tea Company" made the decision on need of its automation and started search of suitable WMS and the experienced contractor who would manage to consider all features of warehouse technology processes of RChK.
Having studied the software presented at the market, the guide of "the Russian of the Tea Company" stopped the choice on a system "1C:WMS Logistics. Management of a warehouse". As the contractor of the RChK project preferred AXELOT company which is a developer of this WMS solution and has long-term experience of automation of warehouses.
Project Progress
Experts of AXELOT performed tunings of strategy and processing stages of goods, models of its accounting, adjusted rules of accomplishment of warehouse transactions, developed algorithms of processing of warehouse events, created 5 stationary and 40 mobile jobs, implemented integration "1C:WMS" with a corporate information system of "1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management", provided personnel training, organized initial maintenance of a system.
Besides, the individual workplace on selection of small-pieces goods — stickers for tea — using the monitor with a touchscreen is created, the mechanism of planning and sorting of the selected goods according to route cells is developed.
During implementation of WMS specialists of AXELOT fully considered all features of a new warehouse. So, for example, as it is narrow-passage, the functionality blocking activity of assemblers during operation of the piler was developed for security of work: as soon as the driver of the piler receives a task, WMS sends a request to the shipping documentation of collectors to leave pass.
In view of the fact that "the Russian Tea Company" is a supplier of tea in shops of large retail chain stores, products shipped from a warehouse should conform to their requirements of packaging and shipment. Besides, all orders should form for sending on different shops of networks. The implemented system "1C:WMS" was configured by specialists of AXELOT so that to consider all requirements of network clients, and automatically to integrate orders of each client by number of the necessary shop.
Result
"1C:WMS Logistics." helped "the Russian of the Tea Company" to exercise control of a warehouse quickly moving on new, not familiar to employees, a high-rise warehouse. As a result of system implementation order processing time and inventory accomplishment was reduced, the accuracy of an inventory control increased, the personnel were reduced. All main warehouse transactions are executed using radio data collection terminals. A system allows to keep relevant account of the nomenclature and all warehouse transactions; analyze quantitative indices of work of a warehouse for their continuous improvement; in online the mode to support work of all types of the equipment, to exercise planning and control of the tasks which are carried out by personnel of a warehouse.
