The pilot platform "Smart and Safe City" in the central park of culture and leisure of A. Gorky Kazan is open

The pilot platform "Smart and Safe City" created in the reconstructed central park of culture and leisure of A. Gorky based on a video surveillance system consists of 55 video cameras of Cisco company, a videoarchive with depth of storage up to 3 day, the integration platform of video management and the intellectual video analysis of ISS company - "Intelligent Systems of Security" and the systems of situational video monitoring of HeadPoint company. The Russian system integrators of STEP LOGIC and ICL-KPO of AF acted as integrators of the pilot platform.

The system of situational video of monitoring HeadPoint is completely domestic development allowing to integrate the existing video surveillance systems in a single system of monitoring, to provide access to different departments and city and municipal services to means of video surveillance according to their powers and priorities.

The innovation of a system is that its use allows to avoid viewing a huge number of video flows and to pass to real event management. Events can form from any sensors, such as systems of the video analysis, security aids, management systems for traffic, access control, meteosensors, etc. Within the pilot platform the following scenarios of the automatic analysis of video images are implemented:

• Detection of the left objects.
• Detection of intersections of forbidden bands.
• Capture and face recognition.

This pilot project was implemented with the assistance of the Ministry of informatization and communication of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Mayor's office of Kazan, JSC Tattelecom, AF companies Cisco, STEP LOGIC, ISS and ICL-KPO. The project provides residents with wireless Internet access and implementation of a system of situational video surveillance and video analytics. As expected, design of the complete solution "Smart and Safe City of Kazan" will come to the end until the end of 2014 and will be submitted the leadership of the Republic of Tatarstan.
