The QTECH company announced the solution providing to Russians broadband access in the Internet in September, 2014. The innovation based on "optics to the apartment" technology (P2P Active Ethernet) suits both large telecom operators, and small providers. The equipment developed by QTECH is already supplied to JSC Rostelecom.

Providing the population of the small cities of Russia with broadband access in the Internet is a current problem. Millions of Russians have no connection to a digital medium, or use low low-speed technologies that reduces quality of life.

To many small localities of Russia high-speed optical communication links are carried already out. The QTECH company develops the solution of the problem of "the last mile" providing connection of subscribers on the optical cable. New development is based on access switches with optical subscriber ports QSW-2910-28F-AC and routers of the QTECH QFR-200 series. The equipment QTECH allows to provide the high-speed Internet (100mb/c) on optics to the houses remote from the fiber optic trunk on tens of kilometers.

"Today products of QTECH provide Internet access for 3 million residents of Russia. The new solution based on technology of optical Ethernet is the optimal choice, both for large operators, and for small providers. The modern equipment QTECH will provide to residents of the small cities and villages high-speed connection to a digital medium with all opportunities for communication, online banking, receiving state services, education and entertainments" — Gavrilenko Vladimir, the chief executive of QTECH company noted.
