Project Progress

Work on creation of a system and filling as its electronic explanatory notes was charged to Elar corporation. Afterwards loading of electronic copies of archivings will be performed by the staff of organization. Specialists of the company proposed the professional solution on the basis of the software including modules of work with the reading room, reference service, administrations of a system and input of documents in it. Automated information system developed Elar will allow to perform document retrieval, being in archive fund, and work with their electronic copies. During activity of employees formation of reporting and statistical information on work of organization and also operational execution of requirements of visitors of the reading room can be provided.

At the first stage of system operation access for visitors to information will be possible only in the reading room equipped with computers, however in the future will provide to citizens a possibility of remote search in resources of archive on the Internet.

Result

As a result of all actions for informatization of the State historical archive of the Sakhalin region the efficiency of execution of thematic requests and requests of social and legal character from public authorities, the organizations and individuals will significantly increase.

Development Plans

Expansion of functionality of a system in GIASO due to implementation of add-on modules, including integration into the regional portal of state services and MFC is in the long term planned that as a result will allow to implement the project on creation of a uniform archival information system of the Sakhalin region.
