On the Izhevsk automobile works entering into the SOK group and the being partner of Kia Motors corporation the automated production and logistic circuit of production of KIA cars on technology of krupnouzlovy (DKD) assembly is put into operation. As the general contractor when implementing the project the Moscow company "Sokit" acted.
Production of cars requires uninterrupted and predictable ensuring deliveries of autosets that assumes improvement of a system of logistics and use of advanced technologies in this area.
Within the project the solution based on Microsoft Dynamics AX providing business process management of production of the cars assembled from DKD sets on all chain from deliveries before sales was developed and brought into operation.
The interface of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) reflecting all nuances of delivery of DKD sets for assembly of cars was worked and brought into operation.
Its use allowed the plant to minimize costs for logistics in deliveries, to provide their full control, to simplify the procedure of customs clearance, to reduce costs for the acceptance of a load performed using data collection terminals.
Use of data collection terminals in processes of internal logistics and directly on the assembly conveyor allows to provide without involvement of additional accounting workers operating control over course of production, deliveries of component parts to the assembly line, to carry out accounting. The implemented solution supports production of cars by models, complete sets, flowers, any set of options.
Within sales process the solution supports electronic document management with Sokia company, the strategic partner by Izhavto and official distributor of Kia Motors in Russia. State-of-health data of a warehouse, the made shipments on models, complete sets, a color gamma and options are available to the company in real time.
Project development was performed based on the solution for the CKD production including welding, coloring, assembly which is earlier implemented at the plant. Overall runtime of the project made about three months.
Use of the developed solution for production of all models of the KIA cars assembled on DKD technology is in the long term planned. Start in production of the next model is planned in 1 quarter 2007.
