City administration of Sochi (VPN Projects)

MegaFon won in September, 2014 the tender for communication services provision of City administration of Sochi regarding the organization of allocated channel of data transmission for video conference with Moscow.

Under the terms of the new contract the operator ensures to the Sochi municipality functioning of a virtual private network (VPN) for carrying out regular video conferences with the central public authorities in Moscow. VPN channels from MegaFon are created using modern encryption algorithms that guarantees high degree of security of communication networks against unauthorized access and confidentiality of all communications.

"Video conference services can use based on public mobile Internet channels or on the protected allocated channels of fixed connection. We implemented the last option for the Sochi Administration as it guarantees to the client the highest quality of data transmission" — Marina Chuvichkina, the development director of corporate business of the Caucasian branch of MegaFon comments.

MegaFon not for the first time becomes the partner of city administration of Sochi in the field of telecommunications. So, it is possible to note the Safe City project in the Olympic capital where the operator created technical infrastructure for work of a city video surveillance system.

In the territory of Sochi MegaFon services more than 60,000 corporate subscribers. Among the biggest customers of MegaFon there are managements of FCS, FSB, FPS, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Arbitration courts and also municipal authorities.
