Lantech LPES-3424DSFP trunk switch

In a line of the equipment Lantech there was in September, 2014 a trunk LPES-3424DSFP switch for creation of network infrastructure of an IP video surveillance system with rotary and outdoor cameras which are equipped with 24 ports 10/100Base-TX and the same number of PoE at/af of injectors of a power supply with a power up to 30 W on the port. The new switch from 24 PoE supports by ports L2+ layer functions, is selected with high performance, has 4 2-speed SFP interfaces for connection to fiber optic networks and capacity of 12.8 Gbps. Besides, in LPES-3424DSFP expanded control functions of PoE with serviceability check of attached devices, etc. are implemented.

LPES-3424DSFP provides broadcast of data on the fiber-optic communication line using 4 optical transceivers which are connected to the device with PoE through 2-speed slots of SFP. In a basic complete set the switch from 24 PoE is delivered by ports with one SFP module, and can be in case of need understaffed with three more Mini-GBIC/SFP transceivers including productions Lantech which, depending on model, provide data transmission on distances from 100 m to 120 km without intermediate gain. It should be noted that these 24-port switches are capable to trace a status of SFP modules and to display their parameters via the Web interface.

Distinctive feature of LPES-3424DSFP is the big budget of power for a power supply of the IP devices connected to it on PoE technology + according to the IEEE802.3at/af standard. At the same time switch 24 PoE can give up to 30 W on one port and provide consumers on the all 24th ports with power up to 340 W. Thanks to it, the new switch can service not only motionless IP cameras and video servers which average indicator of consumption is 6-8 W, but also the equipment of the increased power, for example, the fixed outdoor and high-speed rotary cameras.

Along with power supply on powerful terminal units, LPES-3424DSFP supports management tools by its distribution. For example, using the PoE detection function, it performs check of operation of the connected IP devices and supplies, only if they are in an active status. Besides, network switch 24 PoE provides issue of power supply according to the preset diagram and also keeps track of the status of all 24 ports, with display of parameters of the current given via the switch on the available Ethernet-cables.

LPES-3424DSFP/PoE uses all main engines of management necessary in large network systems of video surveillance, including the DHCP server, ACL (Access Control List) for protection of transmitted data, protocols of SSH/SSL, the multicasting of IGMP, Query/Snooping expanded to 8 queues of a priority of QoS, SNMP, trunk consolidation of ports with LACP, functions of identification of users 802.1x/RADIUS, etc. At the same time, the switch from 24 PoE supports by ports export of the configuration to the file with a possibility of editing that accelerates and simplifies installation of network with several Lantech devices. Besides, support of MSTP allows to transmit through the switch data on the RSTP protocol using VLAN for the organization of an alternative channel of communication.

Not only power supply distribution function for peripheral equipment through 24 PoE of an injector allows to simplify setup of network functioning based on LPES-3424DSFP, but also support of automatic display of network topology, condition monitoring of a system, control of loading of the processor, etc. Besides, via the DMI interface switch 24 PoE can cede on the digital diagnostic DDM monitor (Digital diagnostic monitor) such parameters of a system as optical power output, input power, temperature, tension on the transceiver, etc. At setup of input and power output the switch automatically converts them into decibels that facilitates calculation of length of optical fiber.

The new managed switches from 24 PoE injectors of Lantech LPES-3424DSFP already came to the Russian market at the retail price of 975 USD.
