On September 15, 2014 it became known of a solution QlikView implementation project in Leroy Merlin company. Implementation was carried out by iRT Group.
Project Tasks
Project objective - to provide to business divisions of the customer the tool for an independent research of data, control of observance of policy of the company, increase in internal efficiency, ensuring the best retail prices for the buyer within development of price strategy of the company.
Project Results
For September 15, 2014 users of reports are a staff of shops and managers of the central office.
"The report on inflation gives us the chance to compare inflation of the purchasing and recommended retail prices, – Guillaume de Quermadec, the purchasing department manager of Leroy Merlin noted. - Our policy NTsKD obliges us to control progress of the prices carefully. The report already allowed to detect and correct deviations from process of the change in price in purchasing department. For example, we found out that in one department there was a high inflation of the recommended retail price, at the same time at purchase price the situation was normal. In several clicks we found wrong articles and all change history of the prices: when and in what shops this change was perfect. We talked to the head and learned that he broke process of an output of the article of the list of "The best prices". Reports in QlikView very visual. Initially we assumed to work with tables, but thanks to an opportunity to pass to detailed data directly in diagrams we began to work mainly with them. It was more effective as allowed to see the main problems at once".
Using the QlikView tool deviations of a key indicator in previous years are revealed. Thanks to opportunities of the organization of access to the analytical tool for users in shops, advanced visualization and data processing "on the fly", using the QlikView platform it was succeeded to set operating control over an indicator and less than in 3 months to give it in 30 shops of the customer to planned value. Change of an indicator was about 5 percent points.
"Our system of the business analysis based on QlikView technology allowed us to react in the shortest possible time to business requests on creation of analytical applications that serves permanent increase in efficiency of personnel in strategy implementation of our company and gives timely and qualitative information for acceptance of management decisions" – Pyotr Asratyan, the director of the program of upgrade of the information systems Leroy Merlin told.
