Content

On September 22, 2014 it became known of development and deployment of the automated control system for projects (SOUPS) in in directorate on information systems AVTOVAZ. The partner in the project the company LANIT. Technologies of implementation: Microsoft Project Server 2013 and Microsoft SharePoint.

Project Tasks

Need of creation of a system is dictated by increase in number of difficult IT projects against the background of lack of the regulated technologies of planning and control. Each of projects is implemented according to the unique scenario, without formal distribution of duties of participants and accurate criteria for evaluation of results.

Set the task for IT specialists of the enterprise: create and implement the complete solution - the uniform center of planning, budget management and resources, the tool for the reporting, control and monitoring of all stages of project implementation, in the future. Involved consultants and system architects of the leading Russian integrator LANIT in cooperation.

Project Progress

Execution of the project began study of an organization structure of directorate. Created the center for process optimization and information systems, it undertook project management on development, implementation and further development of SUP. The development center and command center by services, responsible for providing IT services to business divisions of directorate is created.

Project participants took the standard of Renault company in a system basis – PRISM#3, adapted to tasks and technical features of infrastructure of directorate. The project team used in the work the project management body of knowledge PMBoK, methodologies of software development of Microsoft Solutions Framework and Rational Unified Process, a technique of drawing up requirement specifications to the software of IEEE-830.

As the technological solution specialists LANIT suggested to use Microsoft Project Server 2013 and Microsoft SharePoint. The end product can serve as the uniform communication center for the staff of directorate and the platform for discussion of any working moments. The special attention is deserved by the user-friendly interface which is visually displaying the schedule, existence and resource allocation, virtual tools for management of a perspective and project risks.

Project Results

Maxim Derevyanko, the head of the center for process optimization and information systems DIS JSC AVTOVAZ, noted: "Thanks to cooperation with LANIT, we could solve all tasks set for us. Consultants of integrator rendered the methodical help, helped to integrate software into the developed infrastructure of DIS and acquainted our specialists with functionality of a system. Now, on feelings, our work began to remind driving on the good road. For the first time there were accurate regulations using which it is possible to organize and structure key business processes. And the main thing – with the advent of information transparency we began to see results of the work and more sharply to feel the personal liability for the general result".
Ildar Minnakhmetov, the head of department of development of methodology and procedures of management of JSC AVTOVAZ, told: "AVTOVAZ is dynamically developing company focused on permanent improvement of the products and processes. Especially it concerns information systems. The complexity and the importance of projects grows in this sphere every day. The task of upgrade was successfully solved by means of system approach which we developed together with LANIT. It allowed to standardize processes of management of projects and to considerably increase quality of the made decisions".
