The election commission of Khabarovsk Krai involved the contractor to service of ballot paper processing systems

On September 22, 2014 the MAYKOR company announced project completion on ensuring smooth operation of the ballot paper processing systems (BPPS) on elections in Khabarovsk by request of Election commission of Khabarovsk Krai.

Project Tasks

The ballot paper processing system represents the specialized hardware-software complex for automatic counting of votes integrated with the State Automated System Elections system. The transparency and accuracy of summing up elections depends on stability of functioning of the equipment. Therefore the task not to allow failures and to provide technical support of complexes according to severe conditions of SLA – a response time on the request was set for service organization makes only 10 minutes. Fulfilling these requirements of MAYKOR organized a hot line of technical support and created the operational service crews working during elections in the round-the-clock mode.

"Information technologies are implemented into electoral process more and more actively. The ballot paper processing system allows to minimize errors at counting of votes and to accelerate processing of bulletins. At the same time in case of an exit of a complex vote and using traditional boxes for vote is out of operation possible. But, as well as on last elections, need for it did not arise – complexes fulfilled steadily", – Gennady Nakushnov, the chairman of Election commission of Khabarovsk Krai noted.

Project Progress

During the pre-election period the Election commission of Khabarovsk Krai jointly with specialists of MAYKOR provided training of 126 operators a ballot paper processing system from among members of precinct election commissions of Khabarovsk with delivery of the corresponding certificates. Within technical training of complexes an inspection of completeness of everyone a ballot paper processing system, setup and testing was carried out.
