Infocommunication union

The union of participants of the market of infocommunication services (The infocommunication union) - is created as a result of conversion of the Association of operators of communication networks of third generation 3G (earlier - Associations 3G) founded in 1999 by the largest operator companies of Russia.

Mission of the union

Assistance to implementation of perspective technologies, creation of conditions for further market development of infokommunikation and transition to Global information society for the most complete satisfaction of needs of the population for new services.

Activities

• assistance to formation and dynamic market development of infocommunication services, to creation of uniform information (service) space and conditions for fair competition;
• coordination of activity of participants of the Union and other concerned parties in this area;
• representation of common interests of participants of the Union at government relations; participation in development of regulatory legal acts;
• participation in development and implementation of concepts of market development of the infocommunication services existing and perspective communication networks;
• organization and maintenance of research works;
• creation of conditions for implementation of perspective infocommunication technologies and services, assistance of integration of perspective networks with the existing communication networks, development of recommendations in the field of increase in efficiency of use of a radio frequency spectrum;
• the organization of the international cooperation, participation in development of recommendations and deposits of Administration of communication of the Russian Federation in the field of development of infocommunication technologies and services;
• ensuring information exchange of participants of the Union.

Members of the union

Members of the union are the largest Russian operator companies - VimpelCom, Delta Telecom, MegaFon, Mobile TeleSystems, Moscow Cellular Communications.
